Choco-Sandesh Recipe

Choco-Sandesh

Its that time of the year, when we are relishing the company of our cherished ones. No stress from school or office. Dancing to our favorite tunes, debating which dress to put on and eating lots of carbohydrate and fat rich meals. Those samosas frying in the pan, that biryani made with loads of rich spices and at last a sweet dish drowning in ghee. I am sure you are smacking your lips and your tongue is drooling, but there is a dark side to this all. These dishes are quite unhealthy and chances are they may upset your stomach

Don’t worry, we are not here to restrict you or give you lectures about it because Diwali is incomplete without these sweet, tempting dishes. Rather how about we offer an equally tantalizing but healthy alternative???

Here’s presenting the recipe for Choco-Sandesh. Sounds absolutely yum, let’s dive in!

Ingredients : 500ml milk,1-2tsp lemon,1 tsp coco powder, sweet choco-chips or compound chocolate (preferably), cashew nuts (for garnish)

Procedure :

•    Pour the milk in a container and boil it. Once the milk has boiled, add some lemons, so it cuddles or use paneer with muslin cloth to drain the water.

•    Soak the excess water of the Chenna with a muslin cloth and kneed it for 5-10 minutes until we have a dough.

•    Add coco powder to the dough and mix it properly.

•    Add the batter into a non-stick pan (preferable) or use ghee to cook the batter, stir it well. After few minutes you would observe water leaving the dough.

•    Add the chopped compound chocolate or semi-sweet coco chips. You should see the chocolate melt to form a dark-brownish color.

•    After 10 minutes, stop heating and keep the mixture aside for cooling.

•    Apply some ghee on your palm and start making round-shaped balls from the mix.

•    Garnish it with some cashew on top and serve it to your friends and family.
